Key Responsibilities

  • Client Onboarding Management: Efficiently manage multiple client on-boardings simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Collaboration with Production Manager: Work closely with the Production Manager to align onboarding processes with client expectations and production team capabilities.
  • Account Setup and Integration: Set up new QuickBooks Online, Dext, and Wagepoint accounts, and integrate existing accounts as needed.
  • Bookkeeping Clean-Up: Perform timely bookkeeping clean-up tasks to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Client Support and Training: Address client support queries related to bookkeeping during onboarding and conduct training sessions to demonstrate best practices with our accounting apps.
  • Documentation of Client Needs: Thoroughly document clients’ specific accounting processes and requirements to tailor services effectively.
  • Transition to Production Team: Conduct hand-off meetings with the production team to ensure a smooth transition and continuous support post-onboarding.

  • Skilled in Canadian bookkeeping and tax filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Familiar with other key accounting tools (DEXT, Wagepoint, etc.).
  • Skilled with project management tools (e.g., Trello, ClickUp, Asana, HubSpot), enhancing workflow efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Controller, ensuring smooth operations
  • Manage multiple clients in a deadline-drive environment
  • Aide in client onboarding, clean up or catch up work
  • Answer client support questions related to bookkeeping, accounting and tax
  • Review bookkeeping tasks, maintaining accuracy and completeness
  • Perform and review reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Review and prepare monthly reports
  • Review and file Sales Tax Returns
  • Prepare Year Ends (T2) and Compilations (CSRS4200)
  • Document best practices
 

Qualifications

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity and precision in all interactions.
  • Exceptional ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively, optimizing workflow and productivity.
  • A meticulous approach, guaranteeing high accuracy in every task undertaken.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canadian accounting practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of QuickBooks Online
  • Skilled in documenting and refining Standard Operating Procedures to enhance operational standards.
  • Experience with project management apps such as ClickUp, enhancing team collaboration and project tracking.
  • Experience with DEXT is an asset

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full cycle bookkeeping for several small businesses.
  • Perform timely clean-up for accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Thoroughly document clients' accounting processes
  • Build strong client relationships through excellent communication and provide excellent client support for bookkeeping inquiries

QUALIFICATION

  • Demonstrated experience in Canadian bookkeeping and sales taxes.
  • Must have public accounting firm bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities for efficient task management.
  • High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience documenting Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Familiarity with project management apps (e.g., Trello, ClickUp, Asana, HubSpot, Karbon) is beneficial.
